Sorry... It's such a long time since I blogged. I promise to blog more when I finally get round to some crafting in a couple of weeks.
I hope you are all enjoying the gorgeous sunny weather in the UK.
Until next time,
Life has been hectic lately, I have finally managed to catch up with my postcards for Darcy's Challenge although I haven't had time to do the story (it will follow)
Week 10 - Canada
I Borrowed the pic from Google Images and set to work with my Pro markers
Week 11 - Netherlands
I used my Neocolours I another borrowed pic from Google Images :o/ I also stamped around the edges.
Week 12 and 13 - Israel and Turkey
I used dylusion sprays for the background of the Israel card and coloured the flag with Neocolours and the Turkish card was another Borrowed Image from Google which was coloured with my
Week 14 - Singapore
I had a little longer to complete this postcard, I used a scrap of animal print paper (graphic 45) and stamped the images and painted with distress inks, added letters which I cut in my cuttlebug and finally added a bright flower and gems from my stash.
Here are my postcards that I have finally caught up With for Darcy's Postcard challenge, well I did this in the right week I just needed to write the story.
I used my Neo colours for the Daffodil and followed a drawing tutorial on you tube, I'm not very good at drawing but I am quite impressed with it, I also wrote out the Welsh National anthem for the background Although it isn't very neat! a bit of a scrawl really.
And the Back, Hopefully you can read the writing so I won't re write it and bore you all
(although somehow it does have a lot of ink smudges on lol).
Here is my card for Cuba, I used one of my honeymoon snaps (we went to Crete and the hotel had a Cuban night, which was very impressive) to do a photo transfer I followed a tutorial from a blog I found on Pinterest you can find the tutorial here. I was very impressed with the results as it was my first attempt, I also added stitching and used my acrylic paints to add the effect of a beach in the background.
And the back of the card, again covered in ink smudges!!
I really struggled with this until I read that it was famous for making clocks, Well that was my mind made up as I got to use my Weathered clock die :0), I also used my whimsy pocket watch stamp and added crackle for the glass, I embossed the image with clear embossing powder and inked with TH Vintage photo, Then I thought I had finished only to find I brilliant clock charm so this had to be added too.
And the back.
Phew!! it feels good to have finally caught up, I have started my book to keep them in too. although it looks like it may take me forever to complete, especially as I start back at work next week after 4 months sick:0/.
It will be glad to get back to normal.
and other good news, I joined weight watchers last week as the pounds have crept on while I have been inactive, I have managed to loose 4.5lbs Yay!!! I was well impressed as I ate out 4 times last week too although I did eat stuff that I would never have chosen before I really enjoyed it and would definitely eat those things again.
Thank you so much again for your lovely comment's,

Here is the Valentines card I made for Mark (sorry about the blurry picture).
Here is the small gift I made for him, as I have been off work sick I couldn't afford a pressie so I made this little coupon book :0) and I can't share the coupon's sorry, but the are all decorated to match.
Here is a thank you card I made for Mark (hubby) just to let him know I appreciate him for looking after me when I had my operation.
The good news is I go back to work on the 5.3.12, the bad news is I will have less time to craft:0(.
I do have some more projects to show you but will save those for another post.
Thank you for popping by and leaving your comments, I love reading them all it cheers me up.
First of all I would like to wish my dear friend Tracey Happy Birthday,

Here is my postcard for Darcy's challenge. I am a bit later than usual posing it but it is finally here.
I don't know if Hotel Chocolat originated in Belgium but I had the ribbon and it suited the card so I used it. I coluoured the stamped images with my Polychromos and stuck them on with 3d foam pads, coloured the flag with my Neo colours (a bargain not to be missed as I was informed by Anita they are like magic!) Oh! and they are!
And here is the back of the postcard.
No regrets, I had a wonderful time. I return the ring to Harry this week, wish me luck.
No need to call let's keep up the postcards it's more fun.

I decided to join my friends with Kate Cranes Calendar Challenge 2012, I thought this would be fun.
So here is my pages for January, I wanted them to be nice and bright and had to use my brick stencil too, this was so much fun. all I need to do now is fill in the squares and start February's pages :0)
This is my postcard for week three of Darcy's postcard challenge. And it was a challenge this week as I didn't know what I could do for the postcard, so I decided to use the flag colours and the famous carnival< I sat and crocheted the flowers and thought what I could do while I was crocheting and I came up with the idea of a mask and lots of bling!
The back of the postcard,
Let's meet and reunite you with this ring. I'm in Brazil at the moment but will have a stop over in London on Wed 1st Feb 2012. Meet me at the bar in Claridges Hotel at 8pm, there will be a cocktail waiting for you at the bar - I will be in my uniform. By the way 'Im intrigued, you say it's no longer yours, I imagine a girl doesn't easily give up a diamond thisbig!
I hope you like it and thank you all again for all of the lovely comments, I am loving this challenge so much, why didn't they do something like this at school so I enjoyed geography?
The country for this week is Spain. I chose Madrid as this is the fashion capital of Spain and it fits so well with my story, I decorated my postcard with Tim Holtz sewing room die and Tag and bookplates. I added some thread, a wooden button, pearls, lace and brads and glossy accents crackle. I also printed an old map from google images and used this for the background.
And on the back of the card I made a template on the PC added the word postcard in Spanish ( I hope it's right :0/ ) I also added an old Spanish stamp I found in my stash.
The postcard reads:
Dear Captain Spencer Everett,
Thank goodness you found my purse. You see the item inside no longer mine and I need to return it A.S.A.P. We need to meet but it seems we are both regular travellers. I am a fashion designer and am often overseas, as you'll see from the card i am in Madrid at the moment. If you you would please let me know when you are next in London I will arrange to pick up the purse.
I hope you are enjoying the story so far?
I am really enjoying the challenge and already looking forward to Monday to find out the next Country.
Also taking part in the challenge are my lovely close friends:
Here is my first postcard for Darcy's postcard challenge I used the sound of music for decorating my postcard and I am quite chuffed with it.
It is sent from Austria by a pilot named Captain Spencer Everitt to a Lady called Penelope Chalmers.
I also printed the back of the postcard and printed a stamp all from google images.
Inside the postcard reads-

I found your purse on the plane witht your address inside I would like to meet youy to return it. you will know from wht's inside why I san't post it to you. I'm in Austria now but write to me in London and let me know where we can get together.
Captain Spencer Everitt
Story to be continued........
I also have pictures of my characters which I haven't quite finised yet but will post these at a later date, I also still need to make some kind of storage for the postcard.
I hope you will pop back to see part 2 this is so much more fun than I imagined!

The 366 Calendar challenge which you can find here on Kate Crane's blog.
I am joining the challenges with my friends Tracey, Anita and Margaret which will hopefully encourage us to keep up with the challenges;0), although I'm not doing very well at the minute and haven't started but to having the cold bug that everyone seems to have at the moment.
I have lots of ideas whizzing around my head though.
So pop back between Fri and Mon to hopefully see my first postcard and the theme for this is Austria.
I have the most wonderful husband we got married in May 2008, after being together for 9 1/2 years. I love to scrapbook, make cards and alter anything that takes my fancy, which means I never get time to do any cleaning!!
